LIX ONE is a Czech painter and photographer. In his colourful abstract paintings, he often depicts the heightened emotions and energy that is activated in the human brain, for example in the fight or flight mode. In such a moment, the body exerts much more energy than the situation requires. In the paintings, feelings are expressed in a diverse colour palette and dynamic strokes lead the energy literally out of the canvases, as if the pre-determined surface is not enough. Yet everything in the lines seeks order and helps the composition find a certain calm. Like a panic attack, you can fight or flee, but the best thing is to eventually accept reality and wake up in a deep equanimity of mind.
